What Would God Have Me To Do?

"What would God have me to do? What is God's purpose in my life?" These are questions some people ask. I ask them of myself, usually when wondering if I'm responsive enough to some higher calling.

Questions like these leave the people who ask them with an uncomfortable feeling. And yet, in one sense, it's good to wonder about God's purpose for you; it's an acknowledgement of God's importance in your life. People with no regard to God are not "burdened" with such thoughts--which are actually blessings leading to even bigger ones.

Inspired, King David wrote, "You have hemmed me in, behind and before. You have laid your hand on me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain."

Awareness of God's hand on your life is an enabling realization.
